There are several ways to become a Candlekeeper.

We are building teams modeled after the example of Paul and others in the New Testament. These teams consist of Mentor and Intern pairs supported by Partners, and they are dedicated to keeping the light of the gospel burning one church at a time. We hope you will consider joining us!

Candlekeeper Roles

Mentors

Candlekeeper mentors serve a role similar to Paul in the New Testament. They are pastors, planters and other ministers who are passionate about developing leaders. Mentors provide opportunities and accountability for our interns, and their own ministries benefit from the influx of individuals who are eager to learn and excited to serve.

Interns

Candlekeeper interns serve a role similar to Timothy in the New Testament. They are individuals who have expressed desire and potential for ministry. By serving alongside a candlekeeper mentor, interns gain valuable experience and a solid biblical foundation. Internships last one year, and participants will earn a Certificate in Church Ministry.

Partners

Candlekeeper partners serve a role similar to the Philippians in the New Testament. They offer support through prayer and financial giving so that we are "well supplied." (Philippians 4:18) We keep our partners informed through a monthly newsletter so that we can celebrate together in victories and encourage one another in frustrations.
